The Institute of Advanced Sciences, Dartmouth, MA, USA in collaboration with Vedic & Scientific Research Foundation Madurai, Tamil Nadu organized 3rd series of ‘Devī-Mahātmyaṁ’ held on October 10th, 2024. This year the theme of symposium was ‘'Durga Saptashati' : A Tale of Durga, Comprehending all Characters of Strength’.
‘Durga Saptashati’ is a section of the Markandeya Purana which is part of ancient scriptures. Here referring to Devī as the supreme power and the Creative Energy of the Supreme Absolute. Devī Durga is the feminine energy that allows women to play so many roles throughout their lives as Mahakali, Mahagauri, Mahalakhsmi, and Mahasaraswati. To understand the Vishwaroopam of Devī and experience her power within us, there were presentations on different topics by the panelists. Prabhakar, Director, Nada Veda Adhyana Kendra, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India - ‘Durga the Skilled Warrior with Grace & Compassion’
